The Smallest Groups en Route – Averaging Just 4 Travelers
Machu Picchu offers one of the world’s most spellbinding travel experiences. But it’s also a world-renowned destination, and touring the site in a big group with multitudes of tourists shoving for photos, and competing to hear the guide, your once in a lifetime visit to this World Heritage Site may lose its magic. Our Machu Picchu Trips are scheduled with an average of just four travelers, allowing for a deeper exploration of the lost city of the Incas, with our Local Experts / Tour Leaders. This not only guarantees you more personal close-up cultural experience, but a less-impact presence on the earth’s brittle natural places we love.

DAY 1- SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
As Sacred Valley or Urubamba Valley is a vast valley where there are many archaeological sites from the Incas time, one day is not enough to see the whole highlights of the valley, that’s why we have split it into 2 options to visit and enjoy it properly. Any of the following tours start at 7:00 am at your hotel in Cusco. See the options below.
Option 1. Sacred Valley Tour (Chinchero, Maras salt ponds, Moray, Ollantaytambo).
On this option you visit Chinchero a colonial town with its charming XVII century Catholic church and lots of Incan remains will be our first place to visit, next, Maras salt ponds, which was the main salt source to provide to Cusco and other settlements in Urubamba valley like Machu Picchu, today this place is still used by locals where locals farm salt by hands as the Incas used to make it centuries ago. Our next place to visit is Moray, a unique Incan farming testing center, where the Incas built terraces in rounded-shape especially to generate many microclimates because of this, today, Peru has over 3000 sorts of potatoes. Our last place to explore is Ollantaytambo, another impressive place for its temple of the sun whose granite boulders were brought from 5 miles away. Our journey continues to Machu Picchu Pueblo at 3:37 pm Vistadome train (panoramic windows).
Option 2. Pisac (Pisac market optional), Ollantaytambo, Llama & alpaca farm
En route to Pisac is located the alpaca and llama farm, a perfect place to learn about the South American camelids, where we will stop to interact with these animals. The next place to visit is Pisac, a place with massive crop terracings are covering the mountain hillsides and the largest Incan cemetery is located here, the bustling Pisac market still allures some travelers who are in the mood to get some souvenirs, the stop is optional which will be decided by you. Our next stop is at Ollantaytambo, a place famous for its temple of the sun whose construction rocks (100 tons) were brought from 5 miles away. Our journey continues to Machu Picchu Pueblo at 3:37 pm Vistadome train (panoramic windows).
DAY 2 – GUIDED TOUR AT MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
The most important day has arrived because it is the day of Machu Picchu, we will wake up very early to have breakfast that’s organized at the hotel, right away to go to the bus station and take the bus for 25 minutes to get the Machu Picchu sacred Inca city. “what a moment” you will be very amazed by having the Sacred city right in front of you, so we will seal our feat with an epic picture with Machu Picchu at the background. After the photography session, the tour will start, where our private guide will deliver the information about this site. Once you finish the tour at Machu Picchu you will take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Whether you have booked a ticket to hike to Wayna Picchu mountain, you will hike before the tour, it depends on the availability of spaces for that day, more info see Wayna Picchu option, if not, the Machu Picchu montaña will be booked. In the afternoon you have to take the bus from Machu Picchu Inca city back to Aguas Calientes town( Machu picchu Pueblo) to take the train back to Ollantaytambo train station or Poroy train station, where our transfer will be waiting for you to take you back to the hotel in Cusco.
