Memories for a lifetime!!!
If you are ant an authentic, safe, well organized, thorough trek go with Peru Summit. We found them through a simple internet search. We reached out via email to a few companies but Carlos from Peru
Summit was the first to respond and the most thorough. He helped us customize or 12 day adventure from start to finish. Helping us with tips on what to do from the first days of our trip through the end. Our guide was JUAN Carlos, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He was born and raised in the mountains behind Machu Picchu. He speaks English, Spanish and Quechua and this made for such an authentic experience. Our chef made delicious meals during our 4 day trek including quinoa soup, veggies, chicken, pork, avocado salad, desert, crepes, omelet, fresh juices such as chicha morada, and warm quinoa poridge(my fav)... Amazing Trip Ausangate 5 Days
I took the Ausangate 5 Day Trek and it was such an amazing experience. From the start, Carlos was in constant contact through WhatsApp and it was super easy to coordinate the trip. JC, the guide, w
as super competent in leading the group and I could tell that safety was of utmost importance here. They accommodated our needs really well, and the comfort level in the tents were so great (pillow, blankets, and even a hot water bottle! to sleep at night.) The amenities (makeshift toilets, kitchen, eating tents), were all set up really well, and fast as well. The food was sumptuous and spectacular every night. Even for lunch, I was constantly amazed by the spread and how they could concoct some dessert after dinner. Our stomachs were constantly filled with good food, and they also gave snacks everyday that we could munch on during our hike. Salkantay Trek and Rainbow Mountain
The Peru Summit team was fantastic and their organization, friendliness, knowledge and excellent cooking made this trip a huge success. We always felt that we were being taken care of and their style
easily allowed for them to accommodate our pace. In addition to Carlos and his family, we had an excellent trekking team that exceeded our expectations. Our team included - Headguide: Fernando - Cook: Julio Cesar - Horseman: Jesus Each of them were friendly, professional and excellent at their craft. Julio, the cook, made meals that were unbelievably awesome (he should make a trail cookbook) ,Fernando helped us each any everyday and provided all of the assistance possible. Jesus was very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations around the campfire. Note: both the Rainbow Mtg and Salkantay Trek were more difficult then we expected. Be prepared. The good news is that Peru Summit can accommodate and adjust during your trip- so there are no worries

Ausangate Trek + Rainbow Mountain 5D/4N
I did the trek around ausangate on my last week in Peru because I wanted it to be a great completion of my trip and it was. I wrote to a few agencies and asked them if they have a spot left for my pr
efered date and fortunately perusummit had one. I met with Carlos, the owner of the company and we talked about the trek and what to expect. Carlos is a very polite guy and you can feel his enthusiasm for the mountains. One day befor the trek starts we met at the hotel and had a small briefing and as well received our duffle bags for our personal belongings. The duffle bags were carried by the horses so that you only have to carry a small daypack for water, snacks and your raingear. Then the next day we got picked up at our hotels and drove to Upis where we had breakfast and then started to hike. The trip was very well organized. The food was plenty and very delicious also the equipment was very high-end. The tents and sleepingbags (-18°C) were all from north face and the sleeping mattre

Peru Summit did a great job!
Six months before the trip two friends invited me to join them on a month-long Peru Summit trip. I wanted to do the first nineteen days which included the 5-day Classic Inca Trail, the 6-day Ausangate
Trek (with Rainbow Mountain) and 10 days accommodations in Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Peru Summit calls this combo "Discovering the Gem of the Andes 19 days.") We sent Carlos a copy of my passport and he grabbed up the last Machu Picchu permit. My friends had chosen Peru Summit based on internet research. It was a great choice. Peru Summit takes care of you. Carlos picked me up at the airport, took me to the (wonderful) hotel that would be our home in Cusco and gave us a guided tour of central Cusco. The next day Jacky met us. She took us on a guided tour of archeological sites near Cusco that day, then of archeological sites in the Sacred Valley the next day. Juan Carlos (JC) took us to additional Sacred Valley sites the following day and was the guide for the Inca Trail and the Aus

Choquequirao 5 day Loop Trek
The Choquequirao 5 day trip was outstanding and a highlight of our travels in Peru. Carlos and his trek team are very professional and the level of service from the first email and throughout the trek
was excellent and I can't recommend them enough! Juve our guide was exceptional and was incredibly knowledgeable about local history, flora and fauna of the region. We had a private tour and we had a lot of fun on the trek learning or laughing the whole way. Thanks Juve. Our chef was an absolute genius in the small camp kitchen, delicious 3 or even 4 course meals. You will not be losing weight on this trek! Our horse team were also great and a super hard working team The trek its self was hot and hard work, and i would recommend doing the 5 day loop rather than the classic 4 trek. You get more time at the ruins and walk days are a bit spread out to make some of the difficult sections more manageable! Thanks again Carlos, Juve and the trek team for an incredible experience.
